As many of you know, I served as one of the treasurers of the Decentraland DAO for several years. More specifically, I was one of the three members who controlled the multisig. When the DAO proposed deprecating the DAO Committee, I was the only member who created the transaction to hand over control of the wallet. My other two former colleagues decided to troll the process, ignore the decision, and retain control of the wallet instead of transferring it to the new team. Since two signatures were required, I had no way to remove myself from the multisig on my own. Throughout this situation, I was mistreated and received some truly awful comments from these two former members. One of them even suggested that, by trying to hand over the wallet, I was behaving like a Nazi. Yes, that was the level of the conversation. After a year, and thanks to the support of Regenesis Labs and the Decentraland Foundation, one of the members finally decided to sign the transfer, bringing this situation to an end and, at last, allowing me to fully disassociate myself from the wallet. I want to publicly thank Regenesis Labs, the Decentraland Foundation, and the Council for trusting me throughout this entire process. I deeply appreciate the professionalism, calmness, and sense of security with which they handled the situation. I felt supported every step of the way. Thanks @Tobik, for the update and the work you’ve put in. I’ve found you to be most respectful of the process despite of everything that has transpired. Its unfortunate that you got dragged through the mud because of association (with the DAO Committee). Hope to see you in world! ---
