**DAO Council Meeting Report**

Date: May 6, 2026

Attendance: Agus, Canessa, MetaRyuk, Monotributista and Fehz

We met on May 6 to align on a few areas where we believe additional context is worth sharing with the community: the recent SAB action and its operational follow-ups, our presence in-world, and how we’re thinking about Decentraland’s longer-term horizon.

**SAB Action Summary**

The Security Advisory Board removed Kyllian (HPrivakos) from the SAB and revoked the legacy DAO Committee Delay’s access to treasury funds.

**Background.** In October 2025, the community voted to deprecate the DAO Committee ([https://decentraland.org/governance/proposal/?id=fccd5192-5b32-46d0-a9f4-1d9f80e04c47](https://decentraland.org/governance/proposal/?id=fccd5192-5b32-46d0-a9f4-1d9f80e04c47)). Kyllian and Rizk did not return the multisigs holding 500+ ETH, 90+ LAND, and ongoing MANA fees. For four months, SAB members, Council, Foundation, and community members tried to engage Kyllian directly; either with no response or with demands not grounded in any prior agreement. With amicable options exhausted, the SAB determined protective action was necessary. A direct SAB vote to burn Kyllian’s token was blocked when he voted against his own removal ([https://client.aragon.org/#/dcl.eth/0x41e83d829459f99bf4ee2e26d0d79748fb16b94f/vote/53/](https://client.aragon.org/#/dcl.eth/0x41e83d829459f99bf4ee2e26d0d79748fb16b94f/vote/53/)). The inbox vote route was used instead, and passed.

**What changed.** Kyllian’s SAB token is burned, ending his voting rights. The Committee Delay token’s finance permissions are revoked, so the legacy Committee can no longer withdraw from the treasury. USDT approvals on the Committee’s multisig (still held by Kyllian and Rizk) have been revoked.

**Why this mattered.** The Committee Delay token gave single-signature withdrawal access to the DAO treasury (Aragon Agent), rejectable within 48 hours by a SAB member, but still a standing liability. The infinite USDT approval to the Kyllian/Rizk multisig was a similar exposure. Both are now closed.

**Current status.** Legal action by Regenesis Labs and/or Foundation continues to recover the Committee multisigs. The SAB operates with 4 members; the 5th seat is unfilled. All treasury operations require 3-of-4 SAB signatures, with no rejection window.

**Operational Follow-Ups**

With the SAB action in place, we’re addressing the operational items that have been pending: formalizing the Council’s operational wallet and multi-sig configuration, resolving outstanding payments (Council stipends, on-going curator payments, Regenesis Labs Audit compensation, etc), and publishing the Request for Information process so community questions move through a direct and canonical channel.

These are being worked on internally and will move forward together with the treasury setup.

**Council Presence**

We’ve heard the feedback on Council participation & visibility in-world. We’ll be more present at community events going forward, and plan to hold at least one upcoming Council session in-world.

**Looking Beyond 2026**

We also spent part of the meeting talking about where Decentraland is heading over the longer term. It’s worth surfacing this conversation, not to lock in a specific roadmap, but because the questions themselves shape how we evaluate day-to-day decisions: what does the platform need to thrive and not just sustain, how should resources be weighted, what’s missing from the ecosystem today that the Council should help address, and how each part of the project (Foundation, Regenesis Labs, Council, and DAO) should play a coordinated role in getting there.

We’ll share more as the conversation matures.

**Next Update**

Council is having a second meeting later this month, with a focus on the operational wallet and project longer-term horizon.

**DAO Council Meeting Report**

Date: August 3, 2026

Attendance: Canessa, MetaRyuk, Monotributista and Fehz (Agus was away)

**1. Multisig Dashboard and Payments**

Canessa and MetaRyuk completed onboarding to the Safe Workspaces dashboard. The council clarified that Avantgarde transactions require signatures from Canessa and MetaRyuk on the council side.

The council signed the following pending transactions:

- Curator payment of 1.49K MANA

- Council stipend transaction

- Avantgarde authorization transaction

The Avantgarde transaction still requires an additional signature from the Avantgarde team’s second signer.

Council payments, curator stipends and gas-tank refills are now operational, completing the first fully automated payment cycle. The Multisig channel bot will issue payment reminders automatically on the first day of each month.

## **2. Points of Interest Status**

The council addressed a critical issue with the Points of Interest (POI) feature management. The POI system has been effectively halted since the DAO Committee was deprecated, as they refused to perform the necessary handoff of control.

Currently, the DAO Committee Polygon Multisig is the sole owner of the Point of Interest contract and is the only entity authorized to add or remove items from the POI list. This has created a governance deadlock where the DAO cannot execute approved POI proposals despite having community support.

Five new POI proposals have already passed through the DAO voting process, while six groups in total are awaiting delivery. The community remains unaware that these approved proposals cannot be executed due to the technical control issue.

The only viable solution without the DAO Committee’s cooperation would be to deploy an entirely new Points of Interest contract that the DAO can control, followed by updating the platform/clients to point to this new contract. The council has reached out to the Foundation to provide visibility on this issue and explore potential paths forward.

## **3. RFI Submission Delay**

The council noted that the delay involving MetaBeast’s RFI submission resulted from the wrong form being reviewed. Fehz acknowledged responsibility for the delay, and MetaBeast was notified through the forum.

A new RFI round will open after a response has been sent. To prevent similar delays, a bot notification will be configured to alert the team whenever a new RFI form is submitted.

## **4. 2030 Plan**

For the past several months, the council has been actively developing a comprehensive framework for the 2030 plan. This work has involved extensive research, analysis of current project trajectories, and consideration of potential future scenarios for the ecosystem. Building on this progress, the council has agreed to schedule a meeting next week to continue working on the plan.

**DAO Council Meeting Report**

**Date** : October 5, 2026

**Attendance** : Canessa, Fehz, Monotributista, MetaRyuk and Agus

## **Key Outcomes**

The DAO has successfully regained control of the multisigs previously managed by the former DAO Committee, securing approximately $1.7 million in assets, as well as the fee collectors, following sustained legal and direct engagement efforts.

The team is now shifting its focus toward defining Decentraland’s strategic priorities for the next 12 months, aligned with the broader **2030 Decentraland Plan** , with an emphasis on ecosystem growth, user acquisition, and improving the platform experience through initiatives such as the new **Bevy web client**.

## **Decisions Made**

- **DAO Asset Recovery:** The multisig wallets and fee collectors for wearables and emotes have been transferred back to a new multisig: a mix of Foundation, SAB, Community, and Council members, as voted in the DAO Committee deprecation proposal in October 2025.

- **Web Client Strategy:** Bevy will serve as the main web client.

- **Community Engagement:** The council is planning to use a **survey** method as a first step to gather community feedback before potentially holding targeted one-on-one meetings.

## **Risks & Blockers**

- **Asset Gaps:** The **DAO Discord server** , X account, and YouTube account have not yet been fully transferred or are still under dispute. Still in progress. (October 8 update: DAO Discord server ownership has been transferred to Agus).

- **Creator Tooling:** Lack of clarity and alignment with the Foundation on creator tooling is currently a blocker for the next operational cycle.

## **Open Questions**

- **AvantGarde Handover:** The council needs to decide within a week whether to return funds managed by AvantGarde to the treasury or or continue the Treasury Mandate proposal internally. DAO Council voting is in progress.

- **Player Incentives:** Discussions regarding whether to provide direct financial rewards to players to increase engagement or focus exclusively on subsidizing high-quality content creators.

## **Action Items**

- **Council:** Discuss the AvantGarde fund handover offline and reach a decision within one week.

- **Regenesis Labs:** Prepare a comprehensive renewal proposal outlining strategic objectives, measurable KPIs and OKRs, a detailed budget, and an execution roadmap for the next year period.

- **Council:** Create a community survey based on previous discussion points and gaps.
