I would like this to be extended from one page to 5 or 10 pages for building websites. Considering the average desktop webpage is 2.2 Mb and average mobile webpages are 2 Mb, I say we can allocate some of the 100 Mb given to DCL names for this implementation. I believe this keeps us innovative and seeing how the digital identities and decentralised domain names have become more relevant in the recent years, this will be a great addition and perhaps an even greater marketing strategy for Decentraland. Should DCL Names have the option to build 5-10 page websites? Please vote; Yes or No ## Motivation Web3 Domain Name System (DNS) is constantly evolving. More users are pushing towards Decentralized Websites. Websites that are not restricted by the rules of ICANN or any government. Another reason why the surge in popularity in decentralized digital identities are gaining adoption, popularity and news/media coverage. ENS DAO has 100’s of active grants where the developers further exploring decentralized websites & decentralised identity tools. One platform that recently caught my attention was [https://1w3.io/](https://1w3.io/) (ENS DAO Grantee) This platform allows ENS users to connect their wallets and design simple websites via templates. Blank template is free, however the other templates require purchasing. Project Dev allows ready to go templates to be sold on L2 matic (polygon) network. Which I thought was a brilliant idea. You may be wondering why am I mentioning all this stuff to you. Well it’s because the platform is already compatible with Decentraland names. See tweet below. > I believe our talented Dev team are more than capable of spinning up something similar or something even more innovative. Right now only a small amount of the allocated storage space of 100 MB is used and what could be better to put this to a better use. ## Specification Everything should be implemented & managed from inside the Builder. - Set Primary Wallet Address - Set Resolver - Upload PFP - Accept all chains including Bitcoin, Solana, Litecoin, Cardano and others - Name to Name messaging function (wallet to wallet) - Website Templates - Website Builder - Visitor Tracker/Counter - Add Space Section where teams, businesses or individuals can advertise their logo, banner or project for a very small fee in MANA ## Conclusion Decentraland has always been innovative and we should never stop innovating. Yeah, let’s get the Foundation to work on a website hosting platform, a content managing system and an analytics service instead of working on Decentraland. This is utterly stupid, a huge waste of time for anyone working on it. If you want to host a website, use a dedicated platform. You can use ENS website to set a record from your DCL name to that external website. ---

The concept & idea is great, however, the foundation has other priority platform issues to work on way before this. I hope to see this implemented in the future (& may be covered under a social media platform they are working on - mentioned in an AMA months ago). Abstaining. ---

While I supported the first stage of this grant, HPrivako’s comment made me pause and consider whether this is the best direction at this time. With the amount of layoff’s we’ve experienced this year, are we _sure_ we have the staff to dedicate towards building and continued maintenance of any additional features right now? ---
